This “silly little car”, as described by her owner, was imported from Belgium 15 years ago in the back of a Transit Van! This is where the fun stopped though, as soon after an overheating and gearbox problem meant the car sat for 12 years, waiting to be bought back to life. As such a special example with original paint, priceless patina, suicide doors and a softtop – something had to be done. The family owned and loved car is now completely efficient, reliable and can keep up with modern traffic, thanks to it’s electric drivetrain. A real head-turner as it drives past silently!

Drivetrain:
- Specialist EV conversion motor, the HPEVS AC-20, mounted to the original 4-speed manual gearbox.
- Upgraded high performance clutch and flywheel allowing for the additional power and gear changes if desired.
- City/countryside driving uses 3rd gear exclusively, A-Road/motorway driving uses 4th gear.
Battery Pack:
- 15.9kWh of Tesla Model S batteries used, this consists of three modules.
- Two modules mounted in the rear, one in the front.
- Batteries are wired in series, producing 66 volts, they are monitored using state of the art battery management systems.
Charging:
- Charging is possible from any EV charge point, as well as from a 3-pin plug at home.
- Standard AC charging allows for a 2.5 hour full charge.
- Charging from a 3-pin plug allows for a 6 hour full charge.
